Spring Update: GCNP Seeks Victims' Family Members; Crash-Related Book; The Latest Here

Hi again, all.

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update.  Spring has finally sprung here, and we've gone from busy to busier ... but I'm still nibbling away at wrapping up the book as work, teaching, farming, building projects, and Civil War reenacting allow.

Thanks to recent comment-posters for the following:

  • The Grand Canyon National Park wants to contact family members regarding National Historic Landmark status for the crash site.  Karen Greig, kgreig@yahoo.com, is a volunteer helping the park to find family members (Karen, I'll also forward your contact information to all of the family members on my mailing list).
  • A nephew of one of the crash victims recently published a book on the crash.  We are Going in: The Story of the Grand Canyon Disaster, by Mike Nelson, contains a wealth of information on many aspects of the crash and its aftermath.
Our thoughts and prayers today are with the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

More soon.
